Reaktor Synth Tutorial

Part 1

Here is a tutorial to make a simple synthesizer with Reaktor 5.

1. Create a new ensemble

2. Create an 'Oscilator' and an 'AD Envelope' inside the new instrument

3. Create controls for the Envelope's (red) 'A' and 'D' inputs

4. Create a 'Gate' and a 'Constant' of 1

5. Connect the 'Gate' to the Envelopes 'Trig' input and the 'Constant' to the (black) 'A' input

6. Create a 'NotePitch' and connect it to the 'P' input on the Oscilator

7. Connect the 'Output' of the Envelope to the 'A' Input of the Oscilator

8. Connect the 'Output' of the Oscilator to the Instruments Output terminals

9. Save your work!

Built-in Module > LFO, Envelope > AD Built-in Module > Oscilator > Triangle Built-in Module > MIDI In > Gate Built-in Module > MIDI In > Note Pitch Built-in Module > Math > Constant

You can now play the synth using a midi device or your computers keyboard.

Experiment with different oscilators and envelopes.

In the second part of the synth tutorial we will add an envelope controled filter.
