Part 3

Here is the last part to a tutorial to make a Virtual Musicianwith Reaktor 5.

Giving the virtual musician an instrument to play

We will Modify the Synth from the first tutorial

Built-In Module > Terminal > Receive Built-In Module > Terminal > Receive

1. Delete the 'Gate' and the 'Note Pitch'

2. Create a 'Receive' and call it 'G', Where it says 'CONNECT' on the Properties, select 'G'

3. Connect it to the 'Trig' Input of the 'Envelope'

4. Create a 'Receive' and call it 'P', Where it says 'CONNECT' on the Properties, select 'P'

5. Connect it to the 'P' Input of the 'Oscilator'

 

Open the 'Filter' Macro

Built-In Module > Terminal > Receive

6. Delete the 'Gate'

7. Create a 'Receive' and call it 'GF', Where it says 'CONNECT' on the Properties, select 'G'

8. Connect it to the 'Trig' Input of the 'Envelope'

Well done!

You can now press Play and the Virtual Musician will compose a tune for you.

The controls called Low and High allow you to set the limit for the pitch, the control called Stepsize will alter the scale. Pressing the reset button will make sure the P and G sequencers ane in sync.
